Trailmobile Canada sees improved third quarter
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. (Aug. 4, 2000) — Trailmobile Canada Ltd. reported third-quarter net income of $240,657, or 0.5 cents per share, a substantial improvement over last year’s loss of $2.4 million, or 6.7 cents a share. Revenue for the period was $34.6 million, up from $23 million during the same quarter in 1999. Total unit trailer sales for the three-month period were 1345.
For the nine-month period, total revenue was $108.7 million, compared to $67.7 million in 1999, an increase of 61%. Net income for the first nine months reached $1.1 million or 2.5 cents a share, a significant turnaround from 1999’s loss of $13.3 million, or 37 cents per share.
Based in Mississauga, Ont., Trailmobile Canada is controlled by Trailmobile Inc. of Chicago, North America’s third largest trailer manufacturer.
