TransCore partners with U.S. LTL load-matching service
PORTLAND, Ore. (Aug. 2, 2001) — TransCore, operator of the largest freight exchange network in North America through its recent acquisitions of DAT Services and Link Logistics, announced a partnership with myFreightWorld, an online freight-management service based in Kansas City, Mo.
The move links TransCore’s DAT Services network, a predominantly truckload freight exchange service, with myFreightWorld’s less-than-truckload online service.
TransCore said the acquisition is a reaction to customer demand for more access to the LTL transportation segment, as well as the ability to negotiate LTL shipments in the same online environment they use for their truckload negotiations.
MyFreightWorld has 40,000 enrolled customers, as well as offers a broad array of low-cost and high-end freight services through strategic partnerships with freight carriers and technology companies.
