Transcraft specs Air-Weigh scales

Air-Weigh Scales
Transcraft Corp. now lists Air-Weigh onboard scales as the published option for on-board weight indicating devices.

Equipping Transcraft trailers with Air-Weigh scales means customers can load to the maximum legal axle weight limit, right at the loading site, without the cost, delays, and hassles normally associated with off-site commercial check-weighing, the trailer maker said.

Each scale installed on Transcraft trailers is factory pre-calibrated to the specific suspension characteristics of each model. Mounted on the frame or side-rail, each Air-Weigh Trailer Scale has its own display panel for easy viewing by the operator. Having just the trailer suspension equipped with the Air-Weigh scale enables the operator to adjust the position of the freight to ensure that the trailer suspension is not overloaded. If the weight of the freight is known to be within GVW limits, then legalizing just the trailer axle weights also ensures a legal GVW
weight.

Each Air-Weigh Trailer Scale automatically transmits its weight to any Air-Weigh equipped tractor for GVW weighing. No second electrical connector is required between trailer and tractor as Air-Weigh is powered by, and communicates over, the vehicle’s blue electrical circuit using multiplexing technology.
