Transportation Technologies Industries makes acquisition
CHICAGO (Oct. 4, 1999) — Transportation Technologies Industries has acquired Clark Engineering & Manufacturing Inc., a Fort Worth, Tex. -based producer of parts and accessories for trucks with annual revenues of about $6 million.
Transportation Technologies, which makes parts for heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks and buses, and the truck-parts aftermarket, said the acquisition expands its presence in the class-8 heavy-duty truck industry. Clarke will become part of TTI’s Imperial Group, a Tier I and Tier II supplier of body and chassis components with annual revenues of $100 million.
TTI product lines include Gunite heavy-duty wheel-end components, Brillion custom iron castings, Imperial body and chassis components, Bostrom truck and bus seating systems, and Fabco steerable drive axles and gearboxes.
