TripPak expands document delivery network in Canada
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 15, 2003) — Truckload Management Inc. (TMI), operator of the TripPak EXPRESS document pickup and delivery service, will add locations for its distinctive yellow drop boxes and offer its self-serve document imaging service in Canada.
TMI said it has signed exclusive agreements for its secure boxes to appear at select Irving Oil, Husky, “and other major independent Canadian truck stops.”
Drivers place trip-related documents in the drop box. They are collected and sent to a TripPak service centre, where digital copies are created and stored. Electronic confirmation is sent to the fleet so it can start the billing process.
TMI also deploys self-service scanners and document transfer at Petro Stopping Centers and TravelCenters of America truck stops. Its first TripPak SCANNING location in Canada will be at a TA in Woodstock, Ont.
TMI entered the Canadian market one year ago after building its TripPak EXPRESS network to nearly 1,500 truck stops, fleet terminals, and distribution centres in the United States.
“Canadian carriers are taking advantage of our network in the States, while TripPak volume from American fleets doing business in Canada is exploding, the average monthly growth rate of 11 per cent,” said TMI executive vice-president Mark A. Cleveland.
