Truck safety blitz kicks-off
TORONTO — The annual 72-hour Roadcheck truck inspection campaign is now underway across North America.
The blitz, organized by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, will run through Thursday. It puts about 10,000 certified officers on highways in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico to inspect trucks for possible out-of-service violations relating to such things as vehicle maintenance, driver compliance, and cargo safety.
This year, CVSA is launching a new podcast focusing on educating the commercial vehicle driver on safety and security measures.
