TST Keeps Eye On Safety
Transportation Safety Technologies has introduced the EagleEye Obstacle Detection System, which uses ultrasonic sensors to “see” objects within 10 feet of the side or rear of commercial vehicles.
In conjunction with safe driving practices, the system helps the driver avoid backing or changing lanes into objects, avoiding damage, injury, and accident costs, the company says. EagleEye allows for up to seven sensor locations around the vehicle and the sensors are heated to prevent ice and snow build-up.
The dash-mounted Driver Alert Module provides the driver an audible warning and a digital readout of distance to an object.
