U.S. releases technical report on collision warning systems

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Sept. 28, 1999) — The final report from a group investigating collision-avoidance technologies has been posted online.

The 736-page report from the Crash Avoidance Metrics Partnership (CAMP) of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation explores minimum design and performance criteria for collision warning devices. To access the document, point your web browser to the U.S. DOT’s Electronic Documents Library, log in as a Guest, and run a search on document number 10641.

The document will also be available to the public from the National Technical Information Service, Springfield, VA 22161.
