VanPort closes access gate to container trucks

VANCOUVER – Beginning Monday, August 16, 2010, Port Metro Vancouver is closing the Clark Drive access for about six weeks to inbound container trucks from 7 am to 5 pm, between Monday through Friday.

The closure, done to look at ways to improve traffic flow from the South Shore, will be in place until September 24, 2010.
During the closure window, access to the South Shore will be via the Commissioner- McGill Street access gate, where there will be three truck inbound lanes open.

Container trucks transiting from Richmond and Delta terminals that would normally utilize Knight Street-Clark Drive will be required to detour.

All vehicle exiting through both the Clark Dr. and Commissioner St. gates remain unchanged.
