Volvo Drive the Future II Tour coming to Canada this week

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. (May 19, 2003) — Volvo Trucks North America’s Drive the Future II tour will stop in Western Canada starting this week, providing a chance to drive the company’s VN tractors.

Four new Volvo VNs are part of the tour: two VN780s (with 500-hp Cummins ISX engines), and a VN670 and VN630 (both with the newly released 465-hp Volvo VE 465 engine). All the trucks will be hitched to loaded trailers.

The vehicles will be at the Lickman Truck Stop in Sardis, B.C., May 22-24, and move on to the Roadking Travel Centre in Calgary (4949 Barlow Trail S.E.) on May 26-27. The final stop in Canada is June 12-14 at the 10 Acre Truck Stop in Belleville, Ont.

The Canadian stops are part of a larger North American tour that started in April and runs through the summer. For a list of tour destinations, visit www.drivevolvotrucks.com.

Volvo conducted a similar tour last fall. More than 600 drivers took part.
