Volvo-Mack dealer signs maintenance deal with Prevost

SAINTE-CLAIRE, Que. — Motor coach manufacturer Prevost is partnering with Mack and Volvo Trucks dealer Camions Montreal to offer maintenance and repair services for Prevost coaches. This alliance marks the first step towards the establishment of Volvo Trucks service centres affiliated with Prevost throughout North America.

The Volvo D13 engines to be introduced in 2008 will allow the companies to begin strategic development of our network of affiliated service centres, explains Gaetan Bolduc, president and CEO of Prevost .

“We gain a formidable advantage from being associated with the Volvo family, and plan to sign agreements with some twenty Volvo Trucks dealers by the end of 2007. The synergism between Prevost and Volvo will take on even more concrete shape with the Volvo D13 engines offered as an alternative in our coaches.”

The affiliated service centres will offer maintenance and repair services for Volvo motors and transmissions, and eventually will also be able to offer complete maintenance and repair of Prevost coaches.
