Wabash hikes trailer price tag
LAFAYETTE, Ind. (March 11, 2004) — Citing increased costs from steel, aluminum, and wood suppliers, trailer maker Wabash National has announced a 4.5 to 6 per cent increase on all new trailers.
Effective immediately, the hike comes after three years of stable or decreased prices, as the company avoided passing on raw material-related costs to customers, said president William P. Greubel in an official statement.
“While there may be a brief lag effect in the near term in recovering these cost increases, we expect to be able to pass a substantial portion, if not all, of the increases through,” he said.
