Wheels Logistics enhances supply chain ops with new facility
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Wheels Logistics has opened a new warehouse facility featuring expanded services that provide a new link in their customers’ supply chains.
Located within minutes of Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ont. the 70,000 square foot warehouse provides customers from both Canada and the United States with a central facility capable of reaching 64 percent of Canada’s population with next-day service.
The new warehouse offers existing Wheel’s Logistics customers expanded services beyond traditional road delivery. Warehousing, kitting, order picking, fulfillment and distribution services will use advanced technology solutions to leverage operational efficiencies, the company says.
Both the strategic location of the warehouse and the service capabilities give distributors operating out of the U.S. a "cost-effective opportunity to tap into the Canadian market without the associated overhead costs and logistics concerns," says Jim Davidson, Wheels Logistics President.
