Window insert lets fresh air in, keeps noise out
Uncle Kenworth
The Trucker’s Window Insert circulates fresh air into the truck cab while at the same time blocking out noise and weather. The insert is effective while parked and at highway speeds.
Made of Plexiglas, the insert is easy to install and remove — you simply place it into the side window channel and roll up the window to hold it in place. This allows a 2-inch x 10-inch opening for fresh air to enter at the front of the side window. To remove the insert, roll down the window and pull insert out of the window channel.
Longhaul truck driver Ken Gauvreau developed the Trucker’s Window Insert after searching for a suitable window deflector. “There are several deflectors out there, but I wanted one that would reduce the noise entering the cab, and eliminate the draft on my head and neck,” he said. “It is proven that improved air circulation helps drivers stay alert. Rolling down the window helps, but is also extremely noisy when traveling at highway speeds.”
