Window Inset Lets Fresh Air In, Keeps Road Noise Out

The Trucker’s Window Insert circulates fresh air into the truck cab while at the same time blocking out noise and weather. You simply place the Plexiglas insert into the side window channel and roll up the window to hold it in place. This allows a 2-inch by 10-inch opening at the front of the side window for fresh air to enter the cab. To remove the insert, roll down the window and pull the insert out of the window channel.

Long-haul truck driver Ken Gauvreau developed the Trucker’s Window Insert after searching in vain for a suitable window deflector. “I wanted one that would reduce the noise entering the cab, and eliminate the draft on my head and neck,” he says. “Rolling down the window helps, but is also extremely noisy when travelling at highway speeds.”
