Winnipeg Show & Shine On the Way
WINNIPEG (March 1) — The fifth annual ‘Big Rig Show & Shine’ is planned for Saturday June 5th at Winnipeg’s Red River Exhibition Park, and it’s expected to attract at least 100 owner-operator and company trucks. This year’s event will be held in conjunction with the Canadian Truck Show, produced by the Manitoba Trucking Association. It runs from June 3rd to 5th and will feature some 120 exhibitors.
As usual, the Show & Shine will raise funds for the Children’s Hospital Foundation. Since its launch four years ago, the event has raised $10,000 for the Foundation’s valuable work. The day will include games, a silent auction, equipment displays, and visits by some of Manitoba’s most noted celebrities.
First organized by National Truck League and Sun Valley Restaurant, the Show & Shine’s organizing committee now includes representation from most major fleets in the city (Arnold Bros. Transport, Big Freight Systems, Kleysen Transport, and several others) as well as some from elsewhere, such as N. Yanke Transfer and Day & Ross Transportation.
