Women In Trucking names new president

PLOVER, Wis. — Women In Trucking announced that former Chairwoman Ellen Voie will now serve as the organization’s president.

Leigh Foxall of Internet Truckstops, will now serve as chairwoman; Debbi Sparks of Truckload Carriers Association, will serve as vice chairwoman; and Lenora Hardee of Navistar, will now serve as secretary/treasurer.

WIT was officially founded on March 12, 2007, as a means to encourage women to consider a career in the trucking industry, and to provide a platform to voice the successes and struggles of those women already in the male-dominated field. Membership in WIT comes in a variety of forms ranging from corporate to driver and student members.
