Yellow-Roadway shuffles deck; expands Cnd coverage
AKRON, Ohio — One of the largest trucking carriers in the world has announced the consolidation of two subsidiaries as well as a series of personnel changes.
YRC Regional Transportation announced the merger of USF Bestway and USF Reddaway — under the latter’s brand name — as well as the geographic expansion of USF Holland. The consolidation will include expanded operations in western Canada.
Although the transition begins immediately, customers will experience no initial changes to their service, YRC says, adding they will benefit from more regional delivery options and more streamlined customer service.
USF Reddaway, a regional delivery company, will now provide direct service to larger geographic area that includes Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah and Washington, as well as Alberta and British Columbia.
T.J. O’Connor, who has been president and CEO of USF, has been named President and CEO of USF Reddaway and will lead its management team based in Clackamas, Oregon.
